Chapter 18: Amendments

ARTICLE 18-1.    ARTICLES:

Articles may be amended by a two thirds (2/3) vote of the General Assembly members present and voting at the National Organization Convention, provided that written notice of the proposed amendment is given to each Chapter thirty (30) days prior to the Convention.

ARTICLE 18-2.    BYLAWS:

Bylaws may be amended by a simple majority vote of the General Assembly members present and voting, provided that written notice of the proposed amendment is given to each Chapter sixty (60) days prior to the Convention.

ARTICLE 18-3.    EFFECTIVE DATE:

This Constitution shall take effect immediately on approval by a two thirds (2/3) majority of members at a National Organization Convention. Any amendments to articles or bylaws will take effect on the 1st of January of the year following the National Organization Convention at which they have been voted upon.
