December 2005
Dear Members of the JCI University Faculty,
“Knowledge is never ending and leadership must be shared.”
As I have traveled this year, it has become even more apparent to me that JCI Members are part of a new generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs who value life-long learning opportunities and who play a major role in delivering such opportunities to young women and men in their 20’s and 30’s.
In Henry Giessenbier’s time, young men aspired to hold a managerial job by their mid 40’s and hoped that they would end their working careers with the same company as the one they’d started with in their 20’s. This is no longer true for today’s entrepreneurs in action. Many of us will change careers — never mind jobs — several times in our lifetimes. To be equipped for this new millennium phenomenon, we require the skills and experience necessary to meet today’s ever changing job market.
JCI University opportunities in Entrepreneurship, Business, Management and Training are a natural evolution in this revolutionary career maze. Today, more than at any time in our organization’s illustrious history, we need ongoing, life-changing learning opportunities to keep our competitive edge in a competitive global marketplace.
JCI Trainers, Coaches and Moderators bring our world of life-long learning opportunities to our Members and their associates. May that continue long into the future so that we can continue to train tomorrow’s leaders today!
Best regards to you and your families and every good wish for the New Year of JCI University opportunities.
